Severe Storm Watch until 2 am. This watch includes the Twin Cities, St. Cloud and Eau Claire. Conditions are ripe for large hail, damaging straight line winds, an isolated tornado can't be ruled out. Looking at the data - the greatest risk of severe weather appears to be SOUTH of St. Cloud.
Update: 8 pm. Severe storm warnings in effect for portions of the metro area. Doppler radar hail estimates of 1 to 1.5" in diameter, reports of 60 mph+ wind gusts, and funnels near Buffalo and River Falls, Wisconsin. Stay alert for severe weather in the coming hours - the vast majority of us will only see a generic thunderstorm.
