Big(Foot) Found!

After many years of wandering and searching the planet, believers and non-believers now have conclusive evidence that a Big(Foot) exists. NASA's MESSENGER satellite on September 29th, caught the stunning image of this Big(Foot). Not only is it a BIG specimen, but it is also extraterrestrial. The image was caught accidentally, which makes this event even more rare! OK, OK, enough anticipation already, just show me the image...

Sorry to disappoint... but what a unique photograph. This image was captured by MESSENGER during a Mercury flyby. MESSENGER is exploring the closest planet to the sun right now and recently made other measurements of Mercury's Magnetic Tornadoes

and Mercury's Comet-like Tail

I am fascinated with space exploration, but such a big space to explore! Where do you begin and how do you get there is always the biggest question. There is so much to learn and so little time in one's lifetime to figure it out. An Earth based observatory dedicated to space exploration is located on the Big Island of Hawaii on the summit of Mauna Kea at 13,800ft. Mauna Kea Observatory:

One More Thing About Space:

Even though it's mostly cloudy out there, you may be able to sneak a few peeks of the Full Harvest Moon this weekend. This is the full moon nearest to the Autumnal Equinox and appropriately named the harvest moon because this was the time of year that farmers would use the light of the moon to work deep into the evening to harvest their crops. This years harvest moon occurs at 1:10 AM Sunday. Watch for farmers fields to be harvested over the coming days/weeks.
